Lara and Scott, April 24th 2010

Sunday, April 25th, 2010

Lara and Scott’s wedding was my first of the season, so I was excited to be headed out with Libby yesterday morning. First stop was for some getting ready pictures with Lara and the girls, then it was time for some traditional Asian games when Scott and the guys showed up. Scott had to prove he was worthy of marrying Lara by passing a number of challenges including eating a lemon, serenading Lara with a love song and doing some push ups….all in his boxers! Needless to say he passed with flying colours and a huge smile on his face throughout.

After Scott was back in his tux we drove to his parent’s house for the Chinese Tea Ceremony and a yummy lunch. Then it was off to Port Moody with the Bridal Party for pictures. The sun came out, it got cloudy, it rained, the sun came out again and the weather just cooperated with us for enough time to capture some beautiful and fun images.

Last stop was the ceremony location in Port Moody at Lara’s friends’ magnificentl home. Lara changed into a gorgeous wedding dress and friends and family were gathered around to watch her exchange her vows with Scott.

This was such a beautiful day, there was so much love and laughter and it was clear for everyone to see just how much Scott and Lara love each other. Libby and I wish you all the best in your new exciting life together and hope you enjoy the sneak peak!

Ilana’s Album

Tuesday, April 20th, 2010

I recently created a beautiful album for 2009 couple Ilana and Harris. Creative albums are the perfect way to re-live your Wedding Day. They are affordable and can be ordered at any time after your wedding.

Mary’s Family 2010

Monday, April 19th, 2010

After Neeta and Mike’s E session I headed off to my next shoot. I met Mary and Phil 8 years ago when they commissioned me to shoot their engagement session and wedding. We became great friends and enjoyed awesome times together and it wasn’t too long before Mary was asking me if I could photograph her baby girl Mairead. Mairead is 6 now and has a little brother, Beckett, who is 3. It has been an absolute pleasure to photograph Mary’s family every year and watch her children grow up.

Neeta and Mike’s E session

Monday, April 19th, 2010

Well, it’s always disappointing when a session has to be rescheduled due to bad weather….especially when it was booked several months ago. Neeta and I were watching the weather all week and in the end we decided that Saturday’s rain was not going to be too much fun and set up some new dates including today, which turned out to be perfect. I met Neeta and Mike at Coal Harbour, a superb Vancouver location, and we created some awesome images. Afterwards we spent some time over a glass of wine going over all the details of the big day.

Engagement Sessions are not just for creating beautiful images, but also extra time for Clients and Photographer to get to know each other so much better.

Neeta, Mike and I have so many fabulous ideas for their Big Day in June….I can’t wait! (And I know they can’t either)

You guys were awesome to work with….enjoy your “Sneak Peak”  xox

Min and Paul’s E. Session

Sunday, April 11th, 2010

Min and Paul booked me to photograph their wedding last year and just decided a couple of days ago to add an engagement session. Since their wedding is just 3 weeks away we did not have much time to play with and were of course delighted that the rain finally stopped and the sun came out for a fabulous downtown shoot yesterday afternoon. Min and Paul are one of the sweetest couples ever and were tons of fun to work with. We had some great and locations and I think they are going to love the results!

Enjoy your preview Min and Paul and see you 3 weeks today!
